Time Management on Crack

   Posted by IMWR in Recommendation

Outside of not knowing exactly what to do, I believe that the problem that most inexperienced Internet marketers—and many of them that are experienced—find themselves up against is…

A lack of focus and a feeling of being overwhelmed because of information overload, coupled with responding to the demands of work and family in addition to their online business. In short,…

“I don’t have time!”

Time Management on Crack is a series of formulas that one top Internet marketer used to create 52 products in 2008 (I just checked and found that I purchased almost half of those myself last year). You can use these formulas yourself to write articles, blog posts, or email followups; create audio interviews or video tutorials; or set up a membership site, WordPress blog, or autoresponder sequence.

All in a lot less time than you might have contemplated taking before. That feeling of being overwhelmed was just replaced with fierce determination.

What is a Viral Loop?

   Posted by IMWR in Resources

You could read the Fast Company article on viral loops, but that probably won’t really help you understand how to use one to add, say, 5,000 buyers to your list in 3 months. You’ll probably be better off joining Justin Blake’s new, free Subscriber Virus membership site and see how he’s actually doing it.

This one intrigued me because of how Justin is working the signup process. But I don’t want to spill the details—I’ll just let him tell you about it.

Are You a Noob?

   Posted by IMWR in Resources

Okay, you will have to subscribe to a list for this one, but it’s worth it. Marlon Sanders is a marketer that I respect and “The Newbie Guide” should be required reading for anyone getting into Internet marketing.

You’ll learn things like why a free offer doesn’t guarantee people respond and ten time-tested ways to get your freebie noticed. (Not that it’s all about free stuff, but hey, that’s what IMWR is about.) And you’ll get Marlon’s Marketing Minute every Saturday, too.

Great-Tasting Bookmarks

   Posted by IMWR in Resources

If you’re relying on just your browser to manage your bookmarks, you’re missing out on a lot of what can be done with them. Delicious is a great way to add a lot of power to your bookmarks, and all you have to do is install an add-on for Firefox or Internet Explorer or a bookmarklet for other browsers.

Tag your bookmarks and group them; add notes; sync them between all your browsers and computers; and share them with others—be sure to comment on the IMWR site about how you’re using this social networking site to increase your IM business.

Can You Hear Me Now?

[audio:Can_You_Hear_Me_Now.mp3]

Audio can be a very powerful addition to your website or blog, but many people don’t use it because it because it can be confusing and/or expensive. It doesn’t haven’t to be. I found an easy-to-use WordPress plug-in that adds an audio player to your posts and pages, as well as instructions for adding the functionality to your website if you don’t use WordPress.

Here, too, is a short report that gives some pretty good advice for using audio online. You’ll have to put up with blatant, unrelated product pitches in the report, but don’t let those distract you from the information.

Every time I set up a new info product website, I pull out a checklist. It’s an Excel spreadsheet with a line for each task that needs to be done. From uploading the software ($7 Secrets Scripts, of course) to tying it in to my autoresponder to creating a support ticket department, every line item is there to be checked off.

Checklists ensure you get all of your ducks in a row. And with a lot of ducks… um, pieces to your website marketing puzzle, it helps to have a comprehensive list of things that should be done. The creator of this web marketing checklist isn’t shy at all about telling you it’s the best one out there.
