Audio can be a very powerful addition to your website or blog, but many people don’t use it because it because it can be confusing and/or expensive. It doesn’t haven’t to be. I found an easy-to-use WordPress plug-in that adds an audio player to your posts and pages, as well as instructions for adding the functionality to your website if you don’t use WordPress.

Here, too, is a short report that gives some pretty good advice for using audio online. You’ll have to put up with blatant, unrelated product pitches in the report, but don’t let those distract you from the information.

Every time I set up a new info product website, I pull out a checklist. It’s an Excel spreadsheet with a line for each task that needs to be done. From uploading the software ($7 Secrets Scripts, of course) to tying it in to my autoresponder to creating a support ticket department, every line item is there to be checked off.

Checklists ensure you get all of your ducks in a row. And with a lot of ducks… um, pieces to your website marketing puzzle, it helps to have a comprehensive list of things that should be done. The creator of this web marketing checklist isn’t shy at all about telling you it’s the best one out there.

Frankly, I don’t know much about pay-per-click. And they cost money.

But PPC Web Spy goes right in Firefox as a free extension. Do a search in Google and a “View Keywords” button shows up right next to each AdWords ad. Click the button and you see the keywords the advertiser is bidding on, along with the cost-per-click, the number of clicks they’re getting each day, and more. How easy is that?

Conversations with Millionaires is the title of a book by Mike Litman and Jason Oman, a compilation of 9 interviews conducted by Mike on his weekly radio show. Traditional book publishers said “No,” but Mike persevered and CWM became a #1 best seller on Amazon.

Packed with advice from Jim Rohn, Robert Allen, Jim McCann, and others, Conversations with Millionaires will show you what you never learned about in school: what millionaires do to get rich. Your copy (in PDF format) is free of charge.

(Something is wrong with the site’s opt-in process, so users are never taken to the download page. The link above will take you directly to the download page; I will be happy to change that once the opt-in process works.)

Bonus: Mike’s podcast in iTunes

As social networking and other Web 2.0 sites proliferate, and as you begin getting involved more and more in them, your user name pretty much becomes your identity. If your user name gets used by someone else, it could be a big deal to you—particularly if it’s a branding ID like your real name or your product.

UserNameCheck.com checks a plethora of sites (currently 68) for the availability of your user name, then gives you either a link to signup (if available) or to view the user on the site. Use it not only to see how and where your user name is being used, but also to show the newest Web 2.0 sites you should be checking out.
